You know ...
... thanks for visiting my
website. I’m
Bertan Asllani, I was born on July 3rd in
Skopje. During my elementary school days I was enrolled
in the American College. The American College was a
great place for me. I meat a lot of my friends there,
and liked the surroundings too. When I got to be in high
school I decided that staying at American College, now a
high school, is something that would be best for me and
my needs....
... music is a big part of my life. It’s something
that I always wanted to do ... just sing, write
songs, produce... It’s something that I would
never give up on. The first time I started singing
was ... about 11 years ago, when I sang for the
first time, with a Turkish band, back in ‘96. I
then later decided to participate in a children’s
festival known as “Diarrhoea Pumpkins” and then in
“Shall Boll” where I won the first prize in 1999
and 2000. In 2000 I decided to work a little on
the radio, as a speaker in “Super FM”, working
mostly with the children programmes. I also
represented
Macedonia at a Balkan Mini Festival in
Ankara, Turkey.
I play ...
... the piano and guitar for six years now, and
they are my favourite musical instruments. The
first professional songs I composed were in 2003,
and they were all in Turkish. I then participated
in festivals like “Nota Fest”, this was in ’04,
which in some way was an end to my singing career
as a child, and was the beginning of my
professional singing career.
This year ...
... I had my debut in “Top Fest 2”, held in
Tirana,
Albania. Here I won the Digit Alb prize,
with my well known big hit “Akoma të du“. This
song is something that I’m best known for in the
Albanian music scene. The prize „Këngëtari më i
talentuar“ („The Best Singer Award“ which I won at
the Turkish Ensemble in Macedonia and some other
activities were the reasons for my great success
in a very short period.
I still love you ...
... was the name of my fisrt album, or known after
its albanian name „Akoma të du”. It’s why I won
the prize “Albumi më i mire” at the “Zhuma Show”.
In 2005 I had my first music video shown on TV,
for the song “Ilaç nuk gjej”, in co-production
with Tomato. In 2006 I won the “Best Singer Award”
with “The Best Song Award”, and I sang in “Nota
Fest” where I won the “The Best Male”.
After …
… these prizes I was invited in many activities in
Kosovo,
Macedonia and Albania. In
Tirana, in 2007
at the “Netët e klipit shqiptar” I won the “Best
Video Clip Award”. This year I made 2 music
videos, which in some way, made me more famous to
the public as a young artist. The first video was
“Zemër“(„Sweetie“), and this was promoted with my
second album „Besa Besë”. And these were songs
that I, myself, wrote. I then promoted my video
for the song “Litari” (“The Rope”).
I collaborate …
… with BMA, where I write songs for other artists.
And at BMA, we also do music videos, and actually
we’ve made a lot of music videos for Albanian
singers.
I’m aware that …
… the public and you, the fans, want more from me
and my music. That’s why I have some surprises
ready for the future. As I am dedicated to my
family, and to music, I’m also dedicated to you
guys…
